...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...The following county, in southeast Indiana, Franklin and the following counties, in Ohio, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Preble and Warren. * WHEN...Until 515 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 213 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Cincinnati, Hamilton, Kettering, Middletown, Fairfield, Mason, Xenia, Oxford, Miamisburg, Lebanon, Forest Park, Springboro, Sharonville, Monroe, Blue Ash, Loveland, Trenton, Franklin, Springdale and Reading. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
