Special Weather Statement
Issued: 5:38 PM Jun. 6, 2025 – National Weather Service
...THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE THIS AFTERNOON WITH
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND GUSTY WINDS...

Radar shows scattered thunderstorms developing across parts of
northeast Pa into the western Catskills. Some of these
thunderstorms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall
leading to urban and poor drainage flooding and ponding of water
on roadways. There is a chance for a few storms to produce more
dangerous flash flooding especially in the northern tier counties
of eastern Pa and western Catskills. There also will be a chance
for strong gusty winds. If you live in a flood prone area, be
prepared to take quick action should you observe flash flooding or
a flash flood warning is issued.
