...THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE THIS AFTERNOON WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND GUSTY WINDS... Radar shows scattered thunderstorms developing across parts of northeast Pa into the western Catskills. Some of these thunderstorms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall leading to urban and poor drainage flooding and ponding of water on roadways. There is a chance for a few storms to produce more dangerous flash flooding especially in the northern tier counties of eastern Pa and western Catskills. There also will be a chance for strong gusty winds. If you live in a flood prone area, be prepared to take quick action should you observe flash flooding or a flash flood warning is issued.
