Central Fairfield County in southern Connecticut...
Northern Westchester County in southeastern New York...

* Until 1215 AM EDT.

* At 1041 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
New Canaan, Ridgefield, Wilton, Weston, Redding, Bedford and
Georgetown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

counties, Rockland and Westchester.

* WHEN...Until 1145 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1011 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Stamford, Danbury, New City, Ossining, New Canaan, Monsey,
Nanuet, Haverstraw, Mount Kisco, Suffern, Nyack, Sloatsburg,
Newtown, Fairfield, Trumbull, Ridgefield, Monroe, Bethel,

Advisory, 1 to 1 1/2 ft of inundation above ground level
expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.

* WHERE...In Connecticut, Southern Fairfield County. In New
York, Southern Westchester County.

* WHEN...For the first Coastal Flood Advisory, from 8 PM
Thursday to 1 AM EDT Friday. For the second Coastal Flood
Advisory, from 10 PM Friday to 2 AM EDT Saturday.

* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor flooding is expected in the most
