...ELEVATED RISK OF WILDFIRE SPREAD THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS PARTS OF
THE FINGER LAKES REGION AND CENTRAL-SOUTHERN TIER OF NEW YORK...

The combination of dry fine fuels, southerly wind gusts of 25 to
35 mph, and relative humidity values as low as 25 to 40 percent
will contribute to an elevated risk for fire spread this afternoon for
portions of the Finger Lakes Region and the Central-Southern Tier
of New York.

The annual statewide burn ban is in effect until May 14. No burn
permits are issued.
