...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Less than 1 ft of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. * WHERE...Bronx, Northwest Suffolk, Northern Queens and Northern Nassau Counties. * WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 1 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS... * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy rain during the time of high tide may exacerbate flood impacts. This forecast is leaned towards a higher end flood impact scenario, to account for slower trend in cold frontal passage and potential coincidence with heavy rain.
