* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
areas, Northern Middlesex, Northern New London, Southern Fairfield,
Southern Middlesex, Southern New Haven and Southern New London and
southeast New York, including the following areas, Northeast
Suffolk, Northern Nassau, Northwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk,
Southern Nassau and Southwest Suffolk.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding in poor drainage
areas, rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone
locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers with heavy downpours may lead to flooding. Average total
rainfall amounts are forecast to range from 1 to 3 inches, with
localized amounts greater than 5 inches possible. Peak hourly
rates could exceed 1 inch per hour.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Western Suffolk County in southeastern New York...

* WHEN...Until 215 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1114 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Riverhead, Centereach, Shirley, Medford, Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma,
Manorville, Stony Brook, Patchogue, Middle Island, Port
Jefferson, Wading River, Center Moriches, Mattituck, Southampton,

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
