* WHERE...Sandy Hook NJ to Fire Island Inlet NY out 20 nm, Long
Island Sound, Peconic and Gardiners Bays, and South Shore Bays
from Jones Inlet through Shinnecock Bay.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Central and Eastern Suffolk County in southeastern New
York...

* WHEN...Until 530 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 228 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen within the past hour.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Riverhead, Shirley, Manorville, Patchogue, Center Moriches,
Southampton, Westhampton, Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, Gardiners
Island, Mastic, Mastic Beach, Yaphank, Noyack, Shelter Island,
Shinnecock Hills, East Hampton, Davis Park, Hither Hills State
Park and East Patchogue.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
