...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT MONDAY... * WHAT...One to one and a half feet, locally 2 feet, of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. The highest water levels likely with the Monday morning high tide. * WHERE...Bronx, Northwest Suffolk, Northern Queens and Northern Nassau Counties. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 2 PM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Widespread minor to locally moderate coastal flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect one to one and a half feet, locally 2 feet, of inundation above ground level. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. && Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
