* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northwestern Ulster County in east central New York...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 644 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Fleischmanns,
or 19 miles southwest of Hunter, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Phoenicia, Shandaken, Mapledale, Frost Valley, Allaben, Big Indian,
Oliverea, Belle Ayr, Seager, Pine Hill, and Highmount.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Dutchess and Ulster Counties in eastern New York.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms are expected
this afternoon into this evening. Showers and thunderstorms will
be capable of producing heavy downpours, with rainfall rates
reaching 1 to 2 inches per hour. Rainfall of this intensity could
lead to flash flooding, especially within urban and low lying
areas.
