Total snow accumulations 5 to 9 inches and ice accumulations around a few hundredths of an inch. Snowfall rates may briefly reach 2 inches per hour late this afternoon and early evening. * WHERE...Wayne, Northern Cayuga, and Oswego Counties. * WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Saturday. Heaviest snow and greatest travel impacts expected from mid afternoon through mid evening. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult with deep snow cover on roads and very poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday evening commute and post Christmas holiday travel. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
