At 833 AM EDT, emergency management reported flash flooding occurring from thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Sherburne and New Berlin areas. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Hamilton, Cazenovia, Brookfield, Morrisville, Nelson, Edmeston, Plymouth, North Norwich, Waterville, Sherburne, Pittsfield, Lebanon, Otselic, New Berlin, Columbus, Georgetown, Earlville, Bridgewater, Madison and Smyrna. Multiple roads and bridges washed out in the Sherburne and New Berlin areas. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
