...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Litchfield County in northwestern Connecticut, Berkshire County in western Massachusetts, and portions of the eastern Catskills, Mid-Hudson Valley, and southern Taconics in New York. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - After a lull in shower activity early this morning, additional showers and thunderstorms will develop by this afternoon and continue into the evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches falling on already saturated grounds will result in the potential for flash flooding.
