...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM WEDNESDAY TO 8 PM EDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values between 95 and 104 expected.

* WHERE...In Massachusetts, Northern Berkshire County. In New York,
Northern Warren, Western Greene, Hamilton, Northern Fulton, and
Northern Herkimer Counties. In Vermont, Western Windham County.

* WHEN...From 10 AM Wednesday to 8 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will not be much relief at night, with
low temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s along with humid
conditions persisting   across much of the area Wednesday night
and Thursday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
