...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Orange and Putnam Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will likely be a sharp back edge that could result in lower accumulations, especially across western portions of Orange County. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.
