The passage of a cold front tonight will allow for increasing west
winds. Isolated gusts to around 45 mph will be possible at times,
especially right after the frontal passage. This could produce
localized travel difficulties, as well as a few downed tree
limbs.

seas 4 to 7 ft. For the Gale Watch, W winds 25 to 30 kt with
gusts up to 40 kt and seas 4 to 7 ft possible.

* WHERE...Sandy Hook NJ to Fire Island Inlet NY out 20 nm.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 9 PM EST this
evening. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 AM EST Friday.
For the Gale Watch, from Friday morning through Friday
afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.
