...A GUST FRONT APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

Central Long Island Sound...

At 918 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located
along a line extending from 19 nm north of Essex Village to 18 nm
north of New Haven Harbor to 8 nm northwest of Bridgeport to
Mamaroneck Harbor, moving east at 40 knots.

The gust front will be near...
Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington Bay, Oyster Bay, Oyster Bay Harbor,
Long Neck Point, Norwalk Islands, Penfield Reef, Bridgeport, and
Mouth of the Housatonic River around 925 PM EDT.
New Haven Harbor around 930 PM EDT.
Stratford Shoal around 935 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
