...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 10 and 20 inches, with localized higher amounts possible. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities likely drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Occasional blizzard conditions are likely to occur. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible, with up to 3 inches per hour possible through Tuesday morning.
