with heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees expected.

* WHERE...Glens Falls and the Saratoga Region, The Capital Region,
and eastern Greene and Columbia Counties in eastern New York

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Sunday. For
the Extreme Heat Warning, from 11 AM Monday to 8 PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
