...SNOW SQUALL EXPECTED... HAZARDS...A snow squall accompanied by winds of 20 MPH which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than one mile. LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 309 AM EST, a snow squall was along a line extending from Selkirk to 7 miles southeast of Westerlo to near Prattsville and moving east at 30 MPH. THIS SNOW SQUALL WILL BE NEAR... East Greenbush, Hunter, New Baltimore, Ravena, Windham, Castleton-On-Hudson, and Selkirk around 315 AM EST. Coxsackie around 320 AM EST. Nassau around 325 AM EST. Valatie and Kinderhook around 330 AM EST. Stephentown and North-South Lake Campground around 340 AM EST. Chatham and Athens around 345 AM EST. Hudson, Catskill, and Lorenz Park around 350 AM EST. New Lebanon and Hancock around 355 AM EST. This includes the following highways... Interstate 90 near exit 10. Interstate 87 between exits 21 and 22. SAFETY INFO... Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this snow squall. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to accidents. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads.
