...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of east central New York, including the following areas, Eastern Columbia, Eastern Dutchess, Eastern Greene, Eastern Ulster, Schoharie, Western Albany, Western Columbia, Western Dutchess, Western Greene and Western Ulster. * WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An area of heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to move over the area through this evening resulting in the potential for locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding.
