...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM WEDNESDAY TO 8 PM EDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 105 to 111 expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, east central and eastern New York, and southern Vermont. * WHEN...From 10 AM Wednesday to 8 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will not be much relief at night, with low temperatures in the 70s along with humid conditions persisting across much of the area Wednesday night and Thursday night.
