...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible, with up to 3 inches per hour possible through early Wednesday morning. Widespread blowing snow will create whiteout conditions. Expect an additional 6-9 inches of snow for the Mohawk Valley region. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
