...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR ST LAWRENCE AND CHAMPLAIN VALLEYS... The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low humidity, which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...In New York, St. Lawrence and Champlain Valley of New York. * Timing...The lowest humidities and strongest winds will occur between 1 PM and 6 PM on Sunday. * WINDS...Southeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 28 to 35 percent, but localized higher values near Lake Champlain. * TEMPERATURES...Highs between 75 and 80 degrees. * Impacts...If any fires were to start the weather and fuel conditions could cause fires to quickly get out of control and be difficult to contain. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions may occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings. &&
