...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central New York, including the following counties, Cayuga, Cortland and Onondaga. * WHEN...Until 115 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1257 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Auburn, Baldwinsville, Owasco, Sennett, Fleming, Otisco, Skaneateles, Locke, Marcellus, Preble, Jordan, Moravia, Camillus, Niles, Scott, Sempronius, Kelloggsville, Melrose Park, Casowasco and Cascade. - Widespread flooding has been reported in the town of Jordan. Also, the Owasco Inlet at Moravia is currently in Moderate flood stage. - https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. &&

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
