...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible and in some cases is still occurring. * WHERE...Portions of central New York, including the following areas, Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Schuyler, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins and Yates and northeast Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Bradford and Susquehanna. * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. ...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central New York, including the following counties, Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Madison, Oneida, Otsego and Sullivan. * WHEN...Until 100 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from current rainfall. It will take several hours for all the water to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 700 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Areas of urban and small stream flooding are already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
