At 715 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Loudonville, or over Colonie, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Rotterdam, East Greenbush, Cohoes,
Watervliet, Rensselaer, Colonie, Delmar, Latham, Guilderland,
Menands, Voorheesville, Green Island, Grafton, Waterford, Berlin,
Loudonville, and West Sand Lake.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 90 between exits 9 and 25.
Interstate 890 between exits 5 and 9.

* At 712 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 1.5 inches in 1
hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
