Total snow accumulations of 7 inches or more possible in the most persistent lake snows across and near the Tug Hill Plateau, with lesser amounts further north and east. * WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties. The greatest accumulations will be across and near the Tug Hill Plateau, with lesser amounts further north and east. * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, with the heaviest snow most likely to fall from Saturday night into Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult with snow covered roads and poor visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions. &&
