...SNOW SHOWERS DEVELOPING AND MOVING ACROSS PARTS OF THE REGION BEFORE 730 PM... Snow showers have developed and are moving across portions of the Lower Hudson Valley, Southern Connecticut and Suffolk County on Long Island. These are expected to continue before 730 PM. In addition, wind gusts up to near 30 mph can be expected at times. This will result in reduced visibilities, down to near 1 to 2 miles at times, as well as a quick coating of snow with temperatures well below freezing. When encountering these conditions, proceed with extra caution and be prepared for slippery conditions on any untreated surfaces. Motorists should slow down and allow for extra space between vehicles.
