...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Periods of wet snow. Snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches above 5000 feet with up to 8 inches on ridges. Up to 2 inches possible on valley floors. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph. Winds may gust up to 65 mph along ridges. * WHERE...Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area. * WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is uncertainty in snow reaching valley floors, but up to 2 inches of snow is possible by Friday morning. This may result in snow-covered walkways, slick roads and potential travel disruptions. The possibility of heavier snow bands may also result in locally greater snowfall early Friday morning.
