* WHERE...A portion of western Nevada, including the following
counties and independent city, Carson City, Lyon, Storey and
Washoe.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises and flash flooding in small streams and normally
dry arroyos. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 405 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Carson City, New Washoe City, Carson City Airport and Washoe
Lake Campground.

torrential rain along I-80 near the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.
Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

to thunderstorms. Flash flooding is also possible over burn scar
areas including the Davis, Conner, Bear, Mill, Inn and Tamarack
burn scars.

* WHERE...Portions of California, including the following areas,
Greater Lake Tahoe Area, Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern Sierra
Counties and Mono County and western Nevada, including the
following areas, Greater Lake Tahoe Area, Greater Reno-Carson
City-Minden Area and Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties.

* WHEN...From noon PDT today through 9 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations
including burn scars. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and
