In Nevada, Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area and Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties. * WHEN...From 11 AM to 11 PM PDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve. The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds and low humidity, which is in effect from 1 PM to 10 PM PDT Monday. * CHANGES...The Fire Weather Watch has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning. * Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 420 Northern Sierra Front including Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Southern Washoe, Western Lyon and and Far Southern Lassen Counties. * Winds...West-Southwest 15-20 with gusts up to 35 mph. * Humidity...12 to 16%. * Duration...3 to 5 hours. * Impacts...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can cause fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them.
