Locally higher amounts around 8 inches from Washoe Valley to Virginia City due to heavier snow bands early this morning. Wind gusts up to 25 mph. * WHERE...Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, have become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commutes, with icy patches continuing overnight even after the snow ends. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blowing snow may produce limited visibility at times.
