...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM THURSDAY TO 4 AM PST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Periods of wet snow. Snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches above 6000 feet. 2 to 5 inches possible between 5000 and 6000 feet. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 45 to 55 mph. Winds may gust up to 65 mph along ridges. * WHERE...Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area. * WHEN...From 4 AM Thursday to 4 AM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snow is possible above 5500 feet Thursday morning and afternoon, but there is higher confidence in accumulating snow Thursday night into Friday morning. There is also much uncertainty in snow reaching valley floors, but a trace to an inch of snow is possible on valley floors between Thursday night and Friday morning.
