In east central New Mexico, Curry County, De Baca County, Quay County and Roosevelt County. In southeast New Mexico, Chaves County Plains and Southwest Chaves County. * WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rounds of showers and storms will continue through tonight. Rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will have the potential to produce rapid runoff. Soils are saturated from persistent rainfall over the past couple of days, further elevating the risk of flash flooding.
