...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, and west
central New Mexico, including the following areas, in central New
Mexico, Central Highlands, Estancia Valley, San Agustin Plains and
Adjacent Lowlands, Sandia and Manzano Mountains including
Edgewood, South Central Highlands and South Central Mountains. In
north central New Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains,
Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass and Southern Sangre de
Cristo Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Northeast Highlands. In
west central New Mexico, Southwest Mountains. This includes the
Ruidoso area burn scars and all of the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon
burn scar.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms moving slowly north with rainfall rates of 1 to
3 inches per hour are expected again Tuesday. A higher risk
for flash flooding will exist across recent burn scars,
including the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon burn scar and
Ruidoso area burn scars, as well as areas that have received
daily rounds of heavy rain from thunderstorms the last few
days.
