...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM MDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central New Mexico, including the following counties, east central Sandoval and west central Santa Fe. * WHEN...Until 230 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1222 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms west of Madrid. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 0.75 inches of rain have fallen over the last hour. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Santo Domingo Pueblo, La Bajada, Cerrillos Hills State Park, Madrid, Los Cerrillos, Kewa Pueblo, La Cienega, Cochiti Pueblo, Cochiti Lake and Domingo. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
