...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM NOON MDT TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...The Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon burn scar across the East Slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and part of the Northeast Highlands and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. * WHEN...From noon MDT today through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread shower and thunderstorm activity and expected training of shower and thunderstorm activity this afternoon and early evening will result in locally heavy rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches.
