...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM MDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 200 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1155 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Corrales, Coronado State Monument, Santa Ana Pueblo, Enchanted Hills, Sandia Pueblo, Mariposa, Vista Hills and Rio Rancho City Center. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Northwestern Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 145 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1151 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... This includes Farmington, Shiprock, Bloomfield, Aztec, Dulce, Chama, Cuba, Los Alamos, Taos, Espanola, Angel Fire, Red River, Eagle Nest, Santa Fe, Glorieta, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Sandia Crest, Sedillo, Belen, Los Lunas, and Socorro. * WHEN...Until 3 AM MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of showers and storms will continue through the evening with another rounds of showers through the overnight hours. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour may occur with storms this evening, with lighter rainfall overnight.
