Central Sandoval County in north central New Mexico... * Until 800 PM MDT. * At 457 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.25 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Fenton Lake State Park. High and fast water flows can be expected in the Rio Cebolla. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. At 421 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced between 2 and 2.75 inches of rain near Gallina. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Gallina and Regina. Flash flooding is expected along Highway 96 and Forest Service Road 76.
