...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 AM MDT EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL GRANT COUNTY...

At 302 AM MDT, Rainfall has diminished in intensity over the area,
but runoff from earlier heavy rainfall will continue to cause flash
flooding.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by runoff from earlier thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, low water
crossings, as well as other poor drainage and low-lying
areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Lake Roberts, Gattons Park, Sapillo Creek Valley, Lake Roberts
Heights and Trout Valley.

The worse impacts will likely be along Sapillo Creek and related low
water crossings located upstream of Lake Roberts. Other flooding will
be primarily confined to low water crossings along Highway 35 west of
Lake Roberts Village.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Northeastern Grant County in southwestern New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 415 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water
over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 215 AM MDT, Slow moving thunderstorms have produced around 1
inch of rain in the past hour along portions of Highway 15 south
of Copperas Vista. Runoff is likely to flow across the road in
places, and may leave debris behind, which is difficult to see in
the dark.

Highway 15 between Copperas Vista and the Highway 35 junction.
