Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 215 AM MDT, Slow moving thunderstorms have produced around 1 inch of rain in the past hour along portions of Highway 15 south of Copperas Vista. Runoff is likely to flow across the road in places, and may leave debris behind, which is difficult to see in the dark. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... North Central Grant County in southwestern New Mexico... * Until 430 AM MDT. * At 135 AM MDT, Additional rounds of thunderstorms with torrential rainfall are moving into the Sapillo Creek Basin. 1 to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen near Gattons Park and Sapillo Creek Campground. Lower amounts have fallen further to the west, but additional thunderstorms are approaching. Flash flooding in Sapillo Creek, especially upstream or east of Lake Roberts, is expected. Several low water crossings between Gattons Park and the Highway 15 Junction west of Lake Roberts will likely become flooded. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, highways, low water crossings, as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lake Roberts village, Gattons Park, Sapillo Creek Valley, Lake Roberts Heights and Trout Valley. The worst flooding will likely occur where Sapillo Creek crosses Highway 35 in low water crossings. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1258 AM MDT, Thunderstorms with torrential rainfall have produced just under an inch of rain near and north of the Gattons Park area. Runoff will feed into Sapillo Creek, and result in flooding at low water crossings along Highway 35. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
