a line extending from 11 miles south of Maljamar to 25 miles
northeast of Loving to 9 miles west of Red Bluff Reservoir, moving
east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

* At 920 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Carlsbad
Caverns National Park, or 17 miles northeast of Pine Springs,
moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Eastern Eddy County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 1215 AM MDT.

* At 910 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly. Road closures are already being reported in the
city of Carlsbad.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Bluff Reservoir, or 28 miles southeast of Carlsbad, moving north at
30 mph.
