...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE HERMITS PEAK AND CALF CANYON BURN
SCAR WILL EXPIRE AT 1230 AM MDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN
MORA AND NORTHWESTERN SAN MIGUEL COUNTIES...

Light rain will continue over the area and flows of water in arroyos
as well as ponding of water in low spots may persist. Flash flooding
is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any
remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 600 AM MDT for portions of
central, north central, and northeast New Mexico.

...FLOOD WATCH HAS EXPIRED...

The Flash Flood Watch has been extended for the East Slopes of the
Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and
Northeast Highlands until 6 AM MDT Thursday. A Flash Flood Warning
is in effect for the northern portion of the Hermits Peak and Calf
Canyon burn scar until 11:30 PM MDT.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Southern Sangre de
Cristo Mountains, and Northeast Highlands.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become
clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Storms are currently impacting the northern portion of the
HPCC burn scar with a Flash Flood Warning is in effect for
the northern portion of the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon burn
scar until 11:30 PM MDT. Storm chances continue overnight
across the HPCC burn scar.
