Temperatures up to 100 expected across the Northwest Plateau, including Farmington. * WHERE...Curry County, De Baca County, Quay County, Roosevelt County, Eastern San Miguel County, and Northwest Plateau. * WHEN...From noon to 7 PM MDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A high risk for heat related illnesses will exist across these zones based on the NWS HeatRisk. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
