Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches below 7,500 feet with higher amounts of 6 to 12 inches above 7,500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Northern and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Sandia and Manzano Mountains including Edgewood, Far Northwest Highlands, Tusas Mountains Including Chama, and Jemez Mountains. * WHEN...Until 11 AM MST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. This includes along portions of I-40. The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will initially be between 6,000 and 7,000 feet this morning before gradually lowering to all areas late today.
