...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT BERNALILLO...SOUTHEASTERN SANDOVAL AND SOUTHWESTERN SANTA FE COUNTIES UNTIL 245 PM MDT... At 214 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Golden, or 15 miles east of Bernalillo, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Eldorado At Santa Fe, Madrid, Los Cerrillos, Cerrillos Hills State Park, Golden, Cedar Grove, Galisteo and Placitas. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central New Mexico, including the following counties, southeastern Los Alamos, southeastern Rio Arriba and northwestern Santa Fe. * WHEN...Until 245 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1140 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Espanola, Chimayo, White Rock, Pojoaque, Nambe Lake, Pojoaque Pueblo, Nambe Pueblo, La Puebla, Sombrillo and Cuartelez. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
