...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, and west
central New Mexico, including the following areas, in central New
Mexico, Central Highlands, Estancia Valley, San Agustin Plains and
Adjacent Lowlands, Sandia and Manzano Mountains including
Edgewood, South Central Highlands and South Central Mountains. In
north central New Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains,
Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass, Jemez Mountains and
Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. In northeast New Mexico,
Northeast Highlands. In west central New Mexico, Southwest
Mountains and West Central Mountains. This includes the Ruidoso
area burn scars and all of the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn scar.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow-moving storms with rainfall rates of one to three inches
per hour will increase the risk of flash flooding this
afternoon and evening. The Ruidoso area burn scars, Hermits
Peak Calf Canyon burn scar, and areas around Los Alamos where
heavy rain fell on Monday are at the highest risk today.
