* At 235 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 26 miles west of
Bernardo, or 28 miles west of Belen, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of North Central Socorro, West Central Valencia

EAST CENTRAL CIBOLA COUNTY...

At 232 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles southeast
of Skyline-Ganipa, or 10 miles west of Laguna Pueblo, moving east at
20 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Laguna Pueblo, New Laguna, Cubero, Skyline-Ganipa, Mesita, Acoma
Pueblo, Paraje, Seama, Acomita and North Acomita Village.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 101 and 117.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central New Mexico, including the
following county, central Cibola.

* WHEN...Until 515 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 211 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
moving thunderstorms west of Acoma Pueblo. This will cause
arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.25 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
McCartys, Skyline-Ganipa, Acomita Lake, Acomita and North
Acomita Village.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and
dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings. Turn
around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM MDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR CENTRAL CIBOLA COUNTY...

At 151 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms
producing heavy rain were slowly moving east out of the warned area.
Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Mainly rural areas of Central Cibola County.

This includes the following recreation areas...
Narrows Picnic Area, La Ventana Arch and El Malpais Ranger Station.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Turn around don't drown!
