Issued: 4:48 PM Aug. 30, 2025 – National Weather Service
...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains. This includes the Ruidoso area burn
scars.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow moving thunderstorms producing rainfall rates between 1
to 2 inches per hour are likely across the Ruidoso burn scars
Saturday. Antecedent conditions and heavy rainfall rates may
lead to flash flooding and debris flow on and downstream of
