...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 6 PM MDT THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...The South Central Mountains, including the Ruidoso area
burn scars.

* WHEN...From noon today to 6 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Another round of showers and thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon across the south central mountains. Storms motions
toward the north and northwest around 5 to 10 mph alongside
rainfall rates over 1 inch per hour are expected in the stronger
storms. Rapid runoff will lead to flash flooding, especially
where the ground is saturated from recent heavy rainfall. This
includes downstream of the South Fork and Salt burn scars.
