...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON MDT TODAY THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains. This includes recent wildfire burn
scars near Ruidoso.

* WHEN...From noon MDT today through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms will develop over the
Sacramento Mountains today. This activity will be capable of
producing locally heavy rainfall rates of 1 to 1.5 inches per
hour. This heavy rainfall may lead to burn scar flash
flooding with dangerous debris flows.
